Dubai Press Club (DPC) recently hosted a workshop titled ‘Generative AI and its Applications in Media’, offering media professionals and content creators insights into AI-powered tools revolutionizing digital storytelling.
Held in collaboration with the Dubai Future Academy, an affiliate of the Dubai Future Foundation, the session was led by Dr. Mohammed Qasem, Dean of the Dubai Future Academy and Board Member of the Digital School.
The interactive three-hour workshop aimed to enhance participants’ AI proficiency by providing hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools for text, image, video, and interactive content generation. The session explored AI’s transformative impact on media production, equipping professionals with skills to create high-quality, engaging content efficiently.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of DPC, emphasized the club’s commitment to advancing digital capabilities within the media sector.
“AI is now an indispensable media tool. Through this collaboration with the Dubai Future Academy, we have provided a practical learning experience to help journalists and content creators harness AI’s full potential,”
she said.
Dr. Qasem underscored the importance of AI integration in modern media, highlighting the workshop’s role in equipping professionals with expertise in language models, image generation, and video creation. He also addressed AI’s limitations, stressing the need for responsible use to maximize efficiency while mitigating potential challenges.
Mahfoudha Abdullah Saleh, Media Talent Development Specialist at DPC, expressed gratitude to the Dubai Future Academy for its collaboration, reaffirming DPC’s dedication to fostering partnerships that enhance media professionals’ expertise in advanced digital technologies.
This workshop is part of DPC’s ongoing efforts to provide specialized training programs, ensuring media professionals stay ahead of technological advancements and continue producing innovative content that meets global industry standards.
