Dubai Press Club will host the Arab Media Award ceremony on 27 May, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recognising the region’s top media professionals at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event marks the 24th edition of the Arab world’s most prestigious media accolade and coincides with the second day of the Arab Media Summit and the opening of the Arab Media Forum. Media leaders, journalists, and editors from across the region are expected to attend.

Chaired by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, the Award’s Board of Directors recently finalised the winners after a rigorous judging process. Al Marri noted the UAE’s commitment to advancing media standards and praised the role of Arab media in promoting development and public awareness.

Dr. Maitha Buhumaid, Secretary General of the Award, reaffirmed its mission to celebrate impactful journalism that reflects both strong ethics and awareness of contemporary issues. The award continues to uphold impartiality and integrity in its selection process.

Jasim Al Shamsi, Director of the Award, highlighted efforts to align with the region’s evolving media landscape by engaging top Arab experts to maintain transparency and credibility.

The Arab Media Award includes three main categories: Journalism, Digital Media, and TV. It also honours a ‘Media Personality of the Year’ and the ‘Best Columnist’, chosen by the Board.

Part of the larger Arab Media Summit, the award ceremony is one of several events running from 26 to 28 May, including the Arab Youth Media Forum, the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit, and Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award.
