Dubai Press Club has officially opened submissions for the 25th edition of the Arab Media Award, marking a quarter-century of recognising excellence in Arab journalism and media.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and guided by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the award continues to set the benchmark for media innovation in the region.

The Arab Media Award invites entries across two main categories: the Arab Journalism Award, which includes Political Journalism, Economic Journalism, Investigative Reporting, and Best Columnist, and the Visual Media Award, covering Economic, Social, Cultural, Documentary, and Sports programming. A special ‘Media Personality of the Year’ award also highlights individuals whose contributions have significantly shaped Arab media.

Dr. Maitha Buhumaid, Secretary-General of the Arab Media Award, described the launch of the 25th cycle as a milestone that reflects the award’s long-standing commitment to integrity, transparency, and professional excellence. She emphasised the initiative’s role in fostering creativity and shaping the future of Arab media through rigorous evaluation standards aligned with industry advancements.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of Dubai Press Club, highlighted the award’s success over 25 years, attributing it to Dubai’s creative spirit and leadership vision. She noted that the award not only celebrates media achievements but also inspires the next generation of media professionals to innovate and lead with informed, bold ideas.

Jasim Al Shemsi, Director of the Arab Media Award, confirmed that nominations will be accepted until 17 January 2026. Winners will be announced at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, following a thorough evaluation process that upholds the highest professional standards.
