The Dubai Press Club will hold the 11th edition of the Emirati Media Forum on 22 June at Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
The annual forum brings together heads of UAE media organisations, editors-in-chief, opinion leaders, content creators, and social media influencers to shape the direction of national media at a pivotal moment for the region.
This year's edition focuses on the role of national media in countering misinformation, navigating rapid industry transformation, and leveraging AI and emerging digital technologies. Discussions will also cover how media institutions can more effectively communicate the UAE's economic, development, and humanitarian achievements.
Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, said the forum reinforces media's role as a line of defence against misleading narratives.
"Protecting these gains is a shared responsibility that requires awareness, vigilance and collective commitment,"
she said, adding that recent regional developments have highlighted the UAE's ability to navigate uncertainty with confidence and institutional strength.
Dubai Press Club Director Maryam Al Mulla noted that media success today goes beyond speed.
"It is also about the ability to build trust, shape positive impact, and foster a well-informed public during times of change,"
she said.
Now in its 12th year since launching in 2013, the Emirati Media Forum has served as a leading platform for national media dialogue, helping align shared visions across UAE media institutions and raising professional standards across the sector.
