A high-level UAE media delegation will travel to Kuwait in early February as part of a landmark initiative aimed at reinforcing the deep-rooted relationship between the two countries and expanding media cooperation across the Gulf.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club, the visit takes place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and follows the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to celebrate the UAE’s close ties with Kuwait. The programme includes the UAE-Kuwait Media Celebration, attended by Abdulrahman Al Mutairi, Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs.
The delegation brings together more than 100 senior UAE media figures, including editors, journalists, content creators, producers, artists, and influencers. They will be joined by leading Kuwaiti media professionals, writers, and opinion leaders, underscoring the mutual respect and shared ambitions that define the bilateral relationship.
Mona Ghanem AlMarri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, highlighted Kuwait’s pioneering role in shaping Gulf media over the past century. She noted that cooperation between the two sides predates the founding of the UAE and continues to play a vital role in strengthening their historic partnership.
During the visit, the Dubai Press Club will honour Kuwaiti media figures who have contributed to advancing collaboration, particularly those linked to the Arab Media Award since its launch in 1999. A Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai Media Incorporated and Kuwait TV will also be signed to support joint production, knowledge exchange, and high-quality content creation.
The programme further includes a youth-focused panel discussion on media and emerging voices, reflecting a shared commitment to shaping the future of Gulf media cooperation.
