Dubai Properties has awarded contracts worth nearly AED1.1 billion to Metac General Contracting Co. LLC to build 850 new townhouses in Villanova, marking a significant step in the continued expansion of one of Dubai’s established family-focused communities.

The contract covers phase 1 and phase 2 of La Tilia in Dubailand. The development will include 500 three-bedroom and 350 four-bedroom homes. Phase 1 is set to deliver 410 units, while phase 2 will add a further 440 residences.

Villanova has already delivered 3,834 homes since its launch, positioning itself as a key suburban destination within Dubai’s mid-market and upper mid-market residential segments. The latest expansion comes amid sustained demand for integrated communities that offer green spaces, strong connectivity, and access to essential infrastructure.

Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said the contract award reflects ongoing demand for high-quality, family-oriented housing in the emirate. He added that Villanova continues to attract buyers, with the La Tilia expansion building on this momentum through consistent project delivery and trusted partnerships.

Muhammad Sadiq Abdullah, General Manager of Metac General Contracting Co., said the company will focus on maintaining high construction standards and ensuring timely completion as development progresses.

The project underscores Dubai’s broader residential growth strategy, with developers continuing to invest in community-driven housing to meet evolving buyer preferences.
