Dubai’s push to lead the next phase of property technology gained momentum as the Dubai PropTech Hub, an initiative of the Dubai International Financial Centre in partnership with the Dubai Land Department, unveiled a new whitepaper outlining the future of PropTech and its economic potential for the emirate.

Titled PropTech 2033, the report examines 18 strategic agendas across the UAE and the United Nations, including the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, and the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040. The analysis identified 833 global PropTech business models focused on improving quality of life and boosting economic growth in real estate. Just two of those models alone could generate more than AED 53 billion annually for Dubai’s economy.

The report highlights a major transformation in the built environment. PropTech is evolving beyond digital tools toward AI-driven urban infrastructure that connects planning, operations, sustainability, and user experience. This shift is expected to reshape how value is created across the global real estate sector.

According to Mohammad AlBlooshi, Chief Executive Officer of the DIFC Innovation Hub, the whitepaper underscores the role of PropTech as a driver of economic growth and urban resilience. He said the initiative supports Dubai’s ambition to double the sector’s economic contribution by 2033.

To support this vision, the Dubai PropTech Hub has opened applications for its “Global Landing Pad” programme. The initiative will help international PropTech companies expand into Dubai and the MEASA region with guidance from industry partners including Binghatti, Majid Al Futtaim, Union Properties, Sobha Realty, and Transguard Group.

Currently tracking 231 UAE-based PropTech companies, the hub aims to expand innovation into areas such as climate resilience, AI-driven operations, and sustainable urban development as Dubai positions itself among the world’s leading financial centres.
