Dubai Racing Club has announced an exclusive partnership with the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series, granting automatic entry to winners of four Group 1 races at the Dubai World Cup meeting into the prestigious Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
As part of this agreement, winners of the G1 Dubai World Cup, G1 Dubai Golden Shaheen, G1 Longines Dubai Sheema Classic, and G1 Dubai Turf will secure berths in corresponding Breeders’ Cup races. The Dubai World Cup winner will qualify for the Breeders’ Cup Classic, while winners of the Golden Shaheen, Sheema Classic, and Dubai Turf will gain entry to the Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint, Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf, and Breeders’ Cup Mile, respectively.
Scheduled for 5 April 2025 at Meydan Racecourse, the Dubai World Cup meeting is one of the world’s most prestigious race days. This new collaboration further elevates its global status, attracting elite contenders from around the world.
Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club, emphasized the significance of this alliance:
“This partnership strengthens the position of both the Dubai World Cup and the Breeders’ Cup as two of the most important events on the global racing calendar. We look forward to welcoming Breeders’ Cup winners to Dubai in March 2026.”
Drew Fleming, President and CEO of Breeders’ Cup Limited, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the expansion of international competition:
“This collaboration unifies global racing and rewards top contenders for competing at the highest level.”
The Breeders’ Cup will cover entry fees for the four Dubai winners, along with a travel allowance for non-North American starters. To receive these benefits, winners must be nominated to the Breeders’ Cup program by 20 October 2025.
