Dubai’s real estate brokerage sector expanded sharply in 2025, with broker commissions climbing to AED13.59 billion as transaction activity surged and participation across the industry widened, according to data from the Dubai Land Department.

The 31 percent increase in commission value compared with 2024 reflects the growing importance of brokers in facilitating property deals across the emirate’s rapidly expanding market. The number of procedures executed through brokers rose 54 percent to 96,440 transactions, highlighting the sector’s role in streamlining real estate activity and maintaining market efficiency.

Women played a stronger role in the industry during the year. Commission generating transactions handled by women rose 49 percent to 28,909, while the total value of their commissions surged 83 percent to AED2.98 billion. Their growing presence underscores increasing gender balance in a sector supported by structured regulation and licensing standards.

By the end of 2025, women accounted for 11,371 of the 32,294 registered real estate brokers in Dubai. The data also showed a broader expansion of the profession, with the number of new brokers reaching 13,083, a 38 percent increase from the previous year.

At the same time, the number of registered brokerage offices rose to 9,785, reflecting continued growth in property activity while maintaining oversight through regulatory frameworks.

The Dubai Land Department continues to drive sector development through initiatives aimed at strengthening local talent. These include the Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme and the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator, which support Emirati professionals in entering the brokerage field and building full scale real estate firms aligned with international standards.

Authorities say the initiatives have already contributed to a growing number of Emirati brokers successfully completing transactions worth billions of dirhams.
