His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, reaffirmed Dubai’s commitment to becoming a global leader in the travel and air transport sectors.

Speaking during a review of upgrades at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted Dubai’s role as a key global travel hub, emphasizing the city's relentless efforts to enhance infrastructure and services for travelers.

Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of maintaining the highest technical standards and service efficiencies at Dubai’s airports. These efforts, he noted, are crucial for consolidating Dubai’s position as a leader in air transport and meeting the future growth in travel demand.

Accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Emirates Airline, Sheikh Mohammed inspected various facilities at Terminal 3, reviewing projects aimed at improving customer experience and operational efficiency. His Highness also interacted with staff and enquired about the services available for departing and arriving passengers.

“Dubai International Airport reflects our aspirations for the future,”

Sheikh Mohammed said.

“We are dedicated to improving the traveler experience through state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced technologies, and exceptional service standards to ensure comfort and safety.”

Sheikh Mohammed expressed appreciation for the developments at Terminal 3, underscoring Dubai’s reputation for high-quality services to international travelers. This commitment to excellence has positioned Dubai International Airport as a leader in international passenger traffic for several years.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed highlighted the airport’s record performance, attributing its success to Sheikh Mohammed’s visionary leadership. He noted that Dubai International Airport’s growth aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the city’s economy and place it among the top three urban economies globally.

In the first quarter of 2024, Dubai International Airport recorded its best performance, with 23 million travelers, an 8.4% increase from the previous year. This achievement underscores the airport’s pivotal role in driving Dubai’s economic growth and reinforcing its status as a premier global travel destination.
