Dubai Ride kicked off the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025 with a record-breaking turnout, transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into a bustling cycling hub as 40,327 participants of all ages and abilities took to the city’s iconic streets.

The event, presented by DP World, set an energetic tone for the month-long initiative promoting fitness and community engagement.

Cyclists rode past Dubai landmarks including the Museum of the Future, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Water Canal, choosing from two routes: a family-friendly 4km Downtown loop and a 12km Sheikh Zayed Road route for more seasoned riders. Both routes offered scenic views and accessible terrain, encouraging participants to pursue their 30x30 fitness goals.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, highlighted the event’s community impact, noting it exemplifies Dubai’s commitment to active living and unity.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, praised the spectacle as a celebration of health and collective enthusiasm that will inspire the city throughout November.

The event featured vibrant entertainment, including live drumming, cheerleading, DJs, and interactive stations allowing riders to personalise their bikes. Mascots and performers engaged families along the course, while elite cyclists tested their speed in the 12km Speed Laps, maintaining a 30km/h pace.

Notable participants included fitness leaders Kayla Itsines and Leana Deeb, human biologist Gary Brecka, and former professional footballer Bacary Sagna, highlighting Dubai Ride’s wide-reaching appeal.

Dubai Fitness Challenge continues with Dubai Stand Up Paddle on 8-9 November, Dubai Run on 23 November, and the inaugural Dubai Yoga on 30 November, alongside numerous fitness hubs and classes citywide, ensuring residents of all ages can embrace the 30x30 challenge.
