Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that registrations are now open for the second Dubai Stand Up Paddle (SUP) event, set to take place on Saturday, November 2, at the breathtaking Hatta Dam.
This event promises an exhilarating day of water-based fitness and fun, making it an excellent opportunity to achieve your 30 minutes of exercise in a vibrant community setting.
Following a successful inaugural event in 2023 that attracted 1,000 participants from across the UAE and beyond, this year’s SUP event welcomes both beginners and seasoned paddlers. Participants can enjoy 45-minute sessions for adults and 30-minute sessions for kids (ages six and up). New this year, registered participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary one-hour kayaking session, with options for single and double kayaks.
Families are encouraged to join, as dedicated training sessions will be available for kids and teens, promoting skill development in a supportive environment. A mass participation challenge will also foster teamwork and camaraderie among paddlers. The day will conclude with a serene 45-minute Sunset Yoga session on the water, guided by professional instructors against the stunning backdrop of Hatta’s mountains.
His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the event’s role in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. With free shuttle services from Dubai World Trade Centre and complimentary SUP boards and kayaks, attendees can focus on enjoying the experience.
Participants are also invited to extend their stay and enjoy a range of outdoor activities, along with delicious food options from on-site trucks.
