The Dubai Schools Games (DSG), under the patronage of the Dubai Sports Council, has officially launched its 2024-25 season, promoting inclusion and youth sports across the UAE.

This year, global home appliance leader Midea steps in as the title sponsor, supported by Al Nabooda Auto (Volkswagen) and Almarai Emirates Company.

Ahmed Salem Al Mahri of the Dubai Sports Council expressed enthusiasm about Midea's involvement, highlighting its commitment to youth sports and community engagement. He noted the tournament's significant growth, attracting over 9,000 students from 180 schools to compete in 22 diverse sports.

Midea's General Manager for the Middle East, Paris Li, stated,

“Our support for youth sports reflects our mission to foster talent and promote healthier lifestyles, inspiring the next generation to reach their potential.”

This season introduces new Olympic sports like Handball, Wall Climbing, Fencing, and Table Tennis, expanding opportunities for student-athletes. The DSG emphasizes accessibility, engaging all students, regardless of background or ability, at premier venues across Dubai.

Marco Vocale, Commercial Director of ESM, emphasized the initiative's goal of integrating sports into the educational framework, celebrating not only athletic talent but also sportsmanship. The season’s finale will include the Unified Games, promoting inclusivity for students of determination.

As part of its kickoff, the DSG will host the Teachers Championships at Top Golf Dubai, celebrating educators and strengthening community ties. All events are free for spectators, inviting families to join this enriching sports journey.

The Dubai Schools Games continues to be a crucial platform for nurturing future champions, aligning with the Dubai Sports Council Strategy and the broader vision for sports development in the region.
