Dubai has reinforced its standing as a leading global destination for business events after securing the rights to host 504 international conferences, congresses, and corporate programmes over the next four years, marking a strong performance in 2025 and a clear vote of confidence from global organisers.
Driven by Dubai Business Events, the official convention bureau under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the achievement represents a 15 percent year on year increase in successful bids. The events are expected to attract more than 272,000 delegates to the city through 2029, a 29 percent rise compared to the previous year.
The secured pipeline is projected to generate significant economic impact across Dubai’s meetings, incentives, and conferences ecosystem, while also strengthening the city’s role as a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and international collaboration.
Alongside future wins, Dubai hosted 481 DBE-supported business events in 2025, up from 429 in 2024. Bid activity also rose sharply, with 747 submissions during the year, reflecting growing global interest in the city’s business events proposition.
Major upcoming events include the World Ophthalmology Congress 2028, expected to draw 12,000 delegates, the SPE ATCE Annual Congress 2028, and SIBOS 2029, one of the world’s most influential financial services gatherings. Dubai also secured large-scale corporate and incentive programmes across energy, technology, and wellness sectors.
Officials said the results highlight Dubai’s accessibility, infrastructure, and proven ability to host complex international events, while supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the city’s long-term growth as a global business and leisure hub.
