Dubai Set to Host MENA's Largest Fintech Event on October 13
Dubai is poised to host the largest fintech event in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) as Fintech Surge kicks off on Sunday, October 13, at Dubai Harbour.
Over four days, the event aims to bring together fintech, banking, and digital innovation leaders from more than 70 countries, further establishing Dubai as a global fintech hub amid the sector's rapid growth.
An integral part of Expand North Star, powered by GITEX GLOBAL, this year’s edition will feature a keynote address by Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Chairman of the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority, who will discuss “Regulating Non-Banking Financial Services to Accelerate Financial Inclusion.”
Notable speakers include Markos T. Zachariadis, Professor of Financial Technology at the University of Manchester, and Azra Ahmed, Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Geidea. The third day will host the MEA Finance Banks and Fintech Forum & Awards, exploring collaboration between banks and fintechs, with industry leaders addressing pressing themes such as SME inclusion and AI's impact on finance.
Sponsors of this year’s event include ADIB and Wio Bank, along with industry players like Codego and Geidea. A highlight will be the Unplugged Stage by Fintech Tuesdays, offering networking opportunities and insightful discussions.
