Leaders from the UAE’s education sector are participating in the China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET), spotlighting Dubai as a rising global hub for higher education.
The delegation, part of the “Study Dubai” initiative, is actively engaging with Chinese institutions and students to explore partnerships, knowledge-sharing, and best practices in education.
Spearheaded by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the delegation includes representatives from Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City—two of the region’s leading academic ecosystems. The initiative is in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Chambers, underscoring Dubai’s cross-sector commitment to building a future-ready knowledge economy.
Dr. Wafi Dawood, CEO of Strategy and Institutional Efficiency at KHDA, emphasized the strategic alignment of this global outreach, saying,
“Aligned with the goals of the Education 33 Strategy, the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), and the Dubai Social Agenda 33, our mission is to make Dubai the destination of choice for learners who want to shape the future.”
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City, added,
“Our presence at CIEET reinforces our commitment to enabling meaningful international collaborations and supporting Dubai’s strategic vision.”
Participating institutions include top international branch campuses such as the University of Birmingham Dubai, Middlesex University Dubai, Amity University Dubai, Curtin University, and Murdoch University Dubai. These institutions aim to attract Chinese students by showcasing Dubai’s unique academic ecosystem—home to over 30 international universities in a safe, multicultural environment.
The delegation is currently presenting in Beijing, offering a compelling case for why Dubai is fast becoming a preferred destination for global learners.
