The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has partnered with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) to boost Emirati entrepreneurship, enhance startup efficiency, and expand their global reach under the national drive “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World.”
The agreement, signed during a visit by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, to the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec), aims to foster collaboration, exchange expertise, and develop specialised programmes that empower startups.
Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Commercial Affairs Regulatory Sector at the Ministry, and Badr Buhannad, Director General of DSO, formalised the partnership in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ).
Al Marri said the collaboration reinforces the UAE’s vision to build a competitive, innovation-driven economy by uniting public and private sector efforts to create a thriving global hub for entrepreneurs. He highlighted that the campaign provides flexible regulations and attractive incentives to help startups scale internationally.
Dr. Al Zarooni noted that the partnership aligns with DIEZ’s 2026 Strategy, reflecting its commitment to strengthening the national entrepreneurship ecosystem through practical initiatives and advanced digital infrastructure. He added that Dtec continues to play a key role in turning innovative ideas into globally competitive ventures.
