Dubai has unveiled a new accelerator programme aimed at strengthening its emerging game development ecosystem and empowering local talent to compete globally.
GameForward, launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, is designed to help Emirati game developers turn creative ideas into commercially viable ventures.
Developed in strategic partnership with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the initiative responds to growing opportunities in the global gaming industry, which is forecast to generate nearly US$189 billion in revenues in 2025. GameForward aligns with Dubai’s broader economic vision to diversify growth and build future-focused digital industries.

The programme will run from March 2026 and is open to individual Emirati developers and teams with at least one Emirati founder. Participants will receive structured support across technical training, business readiness, strategic mentorship, and ecosystem integration. This includes masterclasses on game design and monetisation, workshops on market entry and investor pitching, and guidance from experienced industry professionals.
GameForward will conclude with a Demo Day during the Dubai Esports and Games Festival in May 2026, where finalist teams will pitch to gaming leaders and investors. The winning Dubai-based team will receive post-programme support and assistance to scale internationally.
The initiative supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, which aims to position Dubai among the world’s top ten gaming hubs and create 30,000 new jobs. By nurturing Emirati talent, GameForward reinforces Dubai’s ambition to become a global centre for innovation in the creative and digital economy.
