Dubai South Achieves Major Milestones in 2024 Across Key Sectors
Dubai South, the largest urban master development focusing on aviation, logistics, and real estate, concluded 2024 with significant achievements, positioning itself as a leading economic hub in the UAE.
In 2024, Dubai South welcomed 415 new companies, bringing the total number of operating businesses to 4,044, with an impressive 94% retention rate. The Dubai South Business Park saw a remarkable 300% increase in office space leasing, with 500,000 square feet leased.
In real estate, Dubai South Properties successfully completed Phase 1 of The Pulse Beachfront, delivering over 200 units, with another 500 units scheduled for completion by mid-2025. Additionally, the launch of South Living saw overwhelming interest, resulting in a complete sell-out.
Education also advanced, as GEMS Founders School opened, accommodating over 500 students. Furthermore, a partnership with BT Properties, Asia's largest private property developer, will bring a new gated master community to the Golf District.
The Logistics District marked several milestones, including the inauguration of FedEx’s regional hub, Boston Scientific’s new distribution center, and the groundbreaking of dnata Logistics’ new facility. Additionally, the first stage of UAE’s autonomous vehicle trials, in collaboration with Evocargo, was successfully completed.
In aviation, the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub signed agreements with major players like International Energy Resources and ATS Technic, with new facilities under construction.
HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, expressed pride in these achievements, emphasizing the district’s crucial role in Dubai’s economic diversification and future growth strategies.
Dubai South continues to foster innovation, sustainable development, and world-class infrastructure, solidifying its status as a dynamic business ecosystem.
