Dubai South Properties Awards AED 150 Million Contract for South Living Tower Construction
Dubai South Properties has appointed Al Turath Al Aseel Contracting for a significant AED 150 million contract to construct the South Living Tower, a luxury residential development at The Residential District in Dubai South.
Launched in June, the project aims to address the high demand for spacious apartments in the area, offering a post-handover payment plan to attract potential buyers.
Slated for completion by Q1 2027, South Living Tower will boast 209 units, including studios, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments, as well as special-terraced units. The development promises an exceptional living experience with a range of amenities such as a swimming pool and deck area, state-of-the-art gymnasium, sauna, multi-purpose room, kids’ library, yoga deck, BBQ area, gazebo seating, and artistically landscaped elevated gardens.
Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, highlighted the growing demand for residential apartments in Dubai South, particularly following the announcement of new passenger terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport. This increased interest has driven higher sales and rental values in the area. Al Kindi emphasized the company's commitment to aligning with the government’s vision of attracting one million residents to Dubai South by the time the airport is operational.
The Residential District at Dubai South is being enhanced with additional amenities including public parks, sports courts, retail shops, a 50,000 square-foot hypermarket, a mosque, and a petrol station. A new GEMS Founders School, pending KHDA approvals, began operations in August. The district currently accommodates over 25,000 residents who benefit from its diverse lifestyle options, amenities, and gated communities.
