Dubai South has signed a new agreement with the Emirati Human Resources Development Council to boost the participation of Emirati professionals in aviation, logistics, and urban development.

The move aims to strengthen national talent pipelines in sectors that play a central role in Dubai’s economic growth.

The Memorandum of Understanding was formalised during the Dubai Airshow in the presence of senior officials, including H.E. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori and H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin. Hafsa Algargawi signed on behalf of Dubai South, while Abdulaziz Alfalahi represented the council. Both sides highlighted the partnership as a strong example of collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Dubai South said the agreement aligns with ongoing efforts to prepare young Emiratis for leadership roles by equipping them with future-focused skills. The initiative supports fields such as aviation, supply chain management, safety, quality, and digital transformation. According to Algargawi, the goal is to help young professionals transition from training to impactful positions that contribute to the sector’s long-term competitiveness.

The EHRDC stressed that the partnership will help build a sustainable pool of qualified Emirati talent ready to take on strategic roles. Alfalahi said the collaboration reinforces the UAE’s vision for a resilient economy powered by knowledge, innovation, and skilled national talent.

Under the agreement, both entities will work together on specialised training programs, hands-on learning opportunities, and career pathways designed to meet global industry standards. They will also focus on knowledge exchange and initiatives that address evolving needs in aviation and logistics.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for Emirati youth and supporting Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation and economic progress.
