Dubai South has added a new healthcare distribution facility as Hellmann Calipar Healthcare Logistics strengthens its footprint in the UAE, responding to rising demand for reliable and compliant medical supply chains.

The new site, located in Dubai South’s Logistics District, marks Hellmann’s fifth distribution centre in the country. It reinforces one of the region’s most extensive dedicated healthcare logistics networks, designed to handle increasingly complex regulatory requirements and the precise management of temperature-sensitive medical products.

The facility expands warehouse capacity while introducing enhanced value-added services and tailored storage solutions. It is equipped to support compliant handling of time and temperature-sensitive goods, secure storage of hazardous materials, end-to-end digital tracking, and efficient last-mile delivery.

Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South, said the expansion highlights growing regional demand for specialised healthcare logistics. He noted that Dubai South’s infrastructure, location, and multimodal connectivity continue to attract global players seeking to strengthen supply chain efficiency and reliability.

Lee I’Ons, Regional CEO for India, Middle East, and Africa at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said the new facility will boost the company’s responsiveness, scalability, and regulatory assurance. He added that the expansion underscores Hellmann’s long-term commitment to the UAE as a strategic hub for healthcare and logistics operations.

The move reflects broader industry shifts as healthcare providers and logistics firms prioritise resilience, transparency, and precision across supply chains in the Middle East.
