The tournament, organized in partnership with the Just Padel Club, aims to harness local Emirati talent from various government departments, as the sport of padel continues to gain popularity in the UAE.

The announcement came during a press conference at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters, with notable attendees including Fawzia Faridoun, Director of the Community Sports Department at DSC, Anwar Idrissi, Director of Just Padel Club, and representatives from sponsors Royal Griffin and Cook One Company. Also present were former French footballer Ibrahim Bah and Argentinean padel player Adrian Eduardo Fernandez.

“Padel has rapidly grown in popularity in Dubai, and this tournament is another step toward expanding its reach among sports enthusiasts in the region,”

she said.

Registration for the event is now open, with up to 32 teams from government institutions expected to compete. Each team will field eight male Emirati players, with only amateurs eligible to participate. The tournament will be played in a knockout format, with a cash prize of AED 30,000 for the winning team and AED 20,000 for the runners-up.
