The Dubai Sports Council will host the 'Dubai Sports Retreat' on November 12 at the Museum of the Future under the slogan 'Dubai: The First Sports Destination.'

The event, a key initiative directed by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, aims to shape the future of Dubai’s sports sector over the next two Olympic cycles (2025-2033).

During a press conference at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters, His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, highlighted the event's significance, expressing gratitude for the leadership's continued support for sports development. He emphasized that the retreat’s goal is to position Dubai as the world’s premier sports destination, with discussions centered on community sports, sports infrastructure, major events, and talent development.

The event will feature prominent speakers, including His Excellency Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, and sports icons such as Khabib Nurmagomedov, Fabien Barthez, Sania Mirza, and Harbhajan Singh. Additionally, a comprehensive sports survey, launched by Sheikh Mansoor, invites public participation to help guide future policies and initiatives for the sports sector in Dubai.

Belhoul expressed the Council’s commitment to continuous progress, citing Dubai’s success as a leading sports hub. The retreat will facilitate collaboration between athletes, decision-makers, and experts to identify key areas for growth and innovation in sports across Dubai. All feedback gathered from the survey and retreat will shape long-term strategies for enhancing Dubai’s global sports standing.
