Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), the UAE’s leading taxi operator, has unveiled a transformative five-year plan focused on driving innovation, sustainability, and geographic expansion to redefine urban mobility.

Strategic Vision

Spanning 2025–2029, the strategy emphasizes solidifying DTC’s dominance in the taxi sector while diversifying into limousine services and delivery operations. The company aims to explore new markets within the UAE and the broader region, targeting double-digit growth and increased shareholder dividends.

“This is a pivotal moment for DTC, as we pursue sustainable and comprehensive growth,”

stated Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, Chairman of DTC. He emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and delivering innovative solutions aligned with Dubai’s vision for a smart and sustainable future.

Innovation and Partnerships

Central to the strategy is DTC’s collaboration with Bolt, a global shared mobility platform, to launch an e-hailing service in Dubai. This aligns with the Roads & Transport Authority’s (RTA) goal of transitioning 80% of taxi trips to e-booking in the coming years, enhancing convenience for users.

“This strategy is about more than growth—it’s about creating a connected, sustainable, and smarter future for our customers and stakeholders,”

said Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of DTC.

Focus on Sustainability

Aligned with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, DTC is investing significantly in electric and hybrid vehicles to reduce its environmental footprint. The company seeks to establish industry benchmarks for eco-friendly mobility, contributing to Dubai’s sustainability goals.

Building on a Legacy

Founded in 1994, DTC operates over 9,000 vehicles, including 6,000 taxis, and employs more than 17,500 driver partners. As a public joint stock company under Law No. (21) of 2023, DTC has evolved into a comprehensive mobility provider, offering taxis, VIP limousines, buses, and delivery bikes.

The new mission, “leading in digital and safe mobility services,” reflects DTC’s vision to become the “preferred mobility choice for everyone,” underscoring its commitment to customer-centric innovation.

This ambitious strategy marks a significant leap toward redefining urban mobility, leveraging technology and sustainable practices to meet the dynamic needs of Dubai’s population.
