Dubai is set to launch a comprehensive social survey aimed at understanding the living conditions of Emirati households, resident families, collective households, and labour accommodations.
The survey, conducted by the Community Development Authority (CDA) and Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, will involve field visits and personal interviews across the emirate, targeting 5,100 families.
Running from December 17, 2024, to March 4, 2025, the survey seeks to gather accurate data on the social realities of Dubai’s diverse population. The goal is to establish a "robust database" that will inform the development of strategies, programs, and policies tailored to the community’s needs.
Saeed Ahmed Al Tayer, CEO of the Social Development Sector at the CDA, emphasized the significance of the survey in enhancing the understanding of social dynamics.
"This survey marks the eighth such effort in Dubai, continuing to guide the development of community initiatives. It will evaluate the impact of digital transformation on quality of life and provide insights aligned with Dubai Social Agenda 33, aimed at enhancing happiness and well-being for all,"
Al Tayer said.
Afaf Buosaiba, CEO of the Data & Statistics Operations Sector at the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, encouraged families to actively participate and provide detailed, accurate responses. She assured that all data would be handled with the utmost confidentiality and used solely for evaluation and development purposes, in compliance with privacy laws.
This survey is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping future social policies and ensuring they meet the aspirations and needs of the Dubai community.
