Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) will take place on 1–2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO), the summit will be held under the theme ‘Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy’.
Since its launch in 2014, WGES has grown into a global platform for climate dialogue, sustainability strategies and green finance initiatives. This year’s edition will gather high-level government officials, international experts, decision-makers, academics and specialists to explore actionable solutions for an inclusive and swift transition to a green economy.
“WGES has been instrumental in driving climate action and fostering international cooperation. The 2025 edition will build on this legacy by advancing joint efforts to align economic development with environmental goals, reaffirming the UAE’s leadership in global climate action,”
said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Chairman of WGEO.
Key focus areas for WGES 2025 include technological innovation, renewable energy, policy and legislation, green finance, climate resilience, equity, and the role of youth in climate action—reflecting the summit’s commitment to long-term impact and inclusive growth.
