Dubai is set to host the 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2024 from October 1-3 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organized annually by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), this year’s event aims to showcase global companies specializing in digital transformation and smart net-zero buildings, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized WETEX's role in promoting digital infrastructure readiness and investment in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.
"The exhibition supports the UAE's leadership in driving global change and mobilizes efforts to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future,"
he stated.
The exhibition will host major local and international companies focused on digitization, green buildings, smart grids, and smart cities, reinforcing Dubai's position as a global hub for the digital economy. DEWA’s partnership with Digital Dubai highlights the provision of advanced cloud services through Moro Cloud, which operates with the highest security standards to assist government and private organizations in their digital transformation journeys.
DEWA has made significant strides in developing a smart grid infrastructure, enhancing efficiency and reliability in energy transmission and distribution. The authority boasts the lowest electricity Customer Minutes Lost (CML) worldwide and reduced losses in electricity transmission and water networks to among the lowest globally.
As WETEX 2024 approaches, it promises to be a pivotal platform for advancing the UAE’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in the energy and water sectors.
