The Supreme Committee of the World Police Summit announced that the fourth edition of the summit will take place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai from May 13 to 15 next year.

Under the theme “Designing the Future of Policing”, the Summit will address critical themes in line with global changes and the fifth industrial revolution.

Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Al Obaidly highlighted that the fourth edition of the World Police Summit represents a significant shift, aligning with the global transformations of the fifth industrial revolution. Under the direction of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Dubai Police launched 'Policing 5.0' at the previous summit, an advanced security system utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance security, provide innovative smart services, and improve quality of life.

Al Obaidly emphasized the summit's role in bringing together police leaders, law enforcement agencies, and experts to collaborate and share experiences, aiming to create safer communities and shape the future of global policing in a technology-driven environment, ensuring sustainable and strategic advancements in the security sector.

Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani emphasized the need for contemporary policing to adapt to rapid and complex changes, noting that traditional methods are inadequate. He advocated for international cooperation and the exchange of best practices as essential to staying current with these changes. Al Hamrani highlighted the importance of innovation, flexibility, and foresight in security work to address challenges and seize opportunities. He also detailed that this year's summit includes eight key features: a tech exhibition, brainstorming sessions for international police leaders, a launchpad for startups, interactive presentations, specialized discussion platforms for police officials, networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, summit awards, and a grand opening and dinner ceremony to foster dialogue and partnerships.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri highlighted the World Police Summit's progress in aligning policing and security discussions with global changes. Over three years, it has become a key international platform, hosting over 15,000 visitors, 8,000 delegates, 200 speakers, more than 100 police chiefs, and 250 companies from 44 countries. This year's summit, themed "Designing the Future of Policing," will address issues such as organized crime, cybercrime, and international cooperation.

Al Ghafri stressed the importance of science and knowledge in combating crime and the need for readiness to handle technological changes, aiming to balance innovation and ethical considerations in policing.

The INTERPOL praised the World Police Summit as an excellent platform for law enforcement collaboration, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in addressing global security challenges.

ROADPOL President Elvira Zsinkai commended the summit's organization and its role in showcasing the latest technological advancements and security insights. She highlighted the value of learning from top experts and encouraged attendance for high-quality content.

Richard Budden of Esri confirmed their partnership with the summit, recognizing it as a valuable opportunity for law enforcement agencies to explore technology trends and share best practices. The next summit is scheduled for May in the UAE.
