Dubai to Host Global Women’s Forum 2024, Championing Gender Parity and Economic Empowerment
Dubai is set to host the third edition of the Global Women’s Forum Dubai (GWFD) on November 26-27, 2024, at Madinat Jumeirah.
The highly anticipated event will convene prominent international organizations, thought leaders, and policymakers to address global challenges in advancing gender parity and women’s economic empowerment.
Mona Al Marri, Chairperson of Dubai Women Establishment, described the Forum as
“a movement dedicated to harnessing global expertise to pave the way for equitable opportunities.”
She emphasized its role in inspiring women to achieve their full potential while shaping a shared vision of gender equality.
The event’s theme, “The Power of Influence,” is anchored in three pillars: “Future Economies, Future Societies,” “Collective Engagements, Collective Actions,” and “Impactful Technologies, Impactful Innovations.” Discussions will explore how women drive progress in economic, social, and environmental arenas.
Key partners include the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi), World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), UAE Gender Balance Council, Atlantic Council, OECD, and UN OCHA. Sessions will feature insights on policy reforms, financial inclusion, and innovation, including the unveiling of the World Bank’s “Women, Business and the Law Report 2024.”
Workshops by the Atlantic Council will focus on sustainability, networking, and pitching business ideas, while We-Fi will spotlight systemic challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the financial and climate sectors.
The Forum offers a collaborative platform for changemakers, entrepreneurs, and advocates, fostering actionable strategies to bridge gender gaps and promote inclusivity. Through transformative workshops, panels, and success stories, GWFD 2024 aspires to inspire lasting change for a more equitable global economy.
