The first-ever Baseball United Arab Classic will take place from November 7th to 10th at the newly completed Baseball United Ballpark in Dubai’s Sevens sports complex.
This marks a historic milestone for the region, as the tournament, featuring nine national teams from the GCC and South Asia, will be the largest and most competitive baseball event in Middle Eastern history.
The participating teams include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Palestine, Afghanistan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE’s newly formed national team.
Baseball United’s Chairman and CEO, Kash Shaikh, highlighted the significance of the event, calling it a "game changer" for the region, and emphasizing the opportunity it provides for these nations to showcase their talents on a global stage.
The state-of-the-art ballpark, completed in just 38 days, will host games from morning to evening each day, with the first three days dedicated to round-robin play. The top six teams will advance to the playoffs on Sunday, culminating in the championship game at 8pm GST. Group A features India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE, while Group B includes Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Palestine.
Ticket prices range from AED 49 for morning sessions to AED 499 for premium Diamond Club seating. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as seating is limited. The event promises thrilling matchups, including the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan game on Friday, November 8th.
This historic tournament, alongside the debut of the region’s first professional baseball stadium, sets the stage for a new era in Middle Eastern sports.
