Dubai is set to host the 12th edition of the World Governments Summit (WGS) from February 11 to 13, 2025, under the theme ‘Shaping Future Governments.’

This edition will see record-breaking international participation, making it the largest in WGS history.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the WGS Organisation, emphasized that under the vision of UAE leadership, the summit has evolved into the world’s most influential government forum. Speaking at the WGS Dialogue at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, Al Gergawi highlighted the event’s commitment to proactive governance, global partnerships, and sustainable progress.

The summit will welcome over 30 heads of state and government, 80+ international organizations, 140 government delegations, and more than 6,000 participants. Discussions will span 21 global forums, 200+ interactive sessions, and 30 ministerial meetings, culminating in the release of 30 strategic reports on future governance trends.

Distinguished attendees include global leaders such as Prabowo Subianto (Indonesia), Andrzej Duda (Poland), and Gustavo Petro (Colombia), alongside international organizations like the IMF, OPEC, and the GCC. Industry giants, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Alibaba Chairman Joseph Tsai, will also participate.

Key themes include Effective Governance, Global Economy, Climate Resilience, Health Transformations, and AI Integration. Notable forums will explore the Future of Mobility, AI, Education, and Zero Bureaucracy. Additionally, the summit will host the TIME100 Most Influential in AI gathering.

WGS 2025 aims to provide a roadmap for governments navigating rapid transformations while fostering international collaboration. The event will also feature prestigious awards, such as Best Minister in the World and Best Teacher in the World. Through strategic dialogue and global partnerships, the summit seeks to drive innovation and sustainable development worldwide.
