Dubai to Unveil World’s Tallest Wellbeing Resort in 2028
Dubai is set to host the Middle East’s first-of-its-kind wellbeing resort, Therme Dubai, as part of its commitment to enhancing quality of life.
The project, approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to reinforce Dubai’s status as the world’s best city to live, work, and visit.
Located in Zabeel Park, Therme Dubai will integrate relaxation, leisure, healthcare, and family entertainment in a unique environment. The AED2 billion project, developed in partnership with Therme Group, will be completed by 2028 and is expected to attract 1.7 million visitors annually.
Spanning 500,000 square feet and standing 100 metres tall, the resort will feature natural therapeutic zones, diverse thermal pools, and a Michelin-star restaurant. Key attractions include three 18-metre waterfalls, expansive indoor and terrace pools, a play area with 15 waterslides, and immersive art installations. The project will also house the world’s largest indoor botanical garden with over 200 plant species.
Sustainability is central to the design, with 90% of pool water being recycled and 80% of the air cooling needs met through clean energy sources. Designed by DS+R, Therme Dubai will offer three distinct zones—Play, Relax, and Restore—catering to families, wellness seekers, and those looking for rejuvenation.
With this development, Dubai strengthens its position as a global wellness tourism hub, further integrating nature and wellbeing into its urban landscape.
