Dubai’s tourism sector has kicked off 2025 with a 3% year-on-year growth in Q1, reinforcing its upward trajectory following a record-breaking 2023 and a 9% surge in visitors throughout 2024.
The update was shared by Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, during a press conference ahead of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025.
Set to run from 28 April to 1 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre, ATM 2025 is on track to be the largest edition yet, hosting over 2,800 exhibitors and welcoming more than 55,000 attendees from 161 countries. The event has seen a 12% year-on-year increase in exhibitor participation, underscoring its role as a key platform for global travel and tourism professionals.
Kazim highlighted Dubai’s continued collaboration with ATM as part of the city’s broader strategy to strengthen its position as a leading destination for both business and leisure. The event aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to foster innovation, sustainability, and economic diversification in tourism.
Over 125 Dubai-based stakeholders will participate in this year’s event, alongside 300 international buyers from 39 countries, showcasing the city’s robust tourism ecosystem. This year’s theme, Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity, will explore how digital, physical, and human connections are shaping the future of the industry.
With Dubai surrounded by some of the world’s fastest-growing travel markets and boasting world-class infrastructure, ATM 2025 is set to spotlight the city’s role as a global hub for tourism innovation, collaboration, and investment.
