Dubai has launched its transformative Education Strategy 2033, aimed at establishing a world-class education system that prioritizes students and prepares them to lead in a rapidly changing world.
Approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the strategy aligns with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, positioning the emirate as a global hub for education and living.
The strategy emphasizes a student-centric approach, providing high-quality education from early childhood through higher education. Sheikh Hamdan stated,
“Our strategy for a world-leading education system will foster lifelong learning and equip the next generation of national leaders, grounded in Emirati values and identity, to shape the future.”
Designed to revolutionize the education landscape by 2033, the plan focuses on nurturing creativity, talent, and essential life skills among students. It also seeks to enhance career guidance, ensuring UAE students remain competitive for admission to top universities worldwide. The strategy emphasizes collaboration, encouraging active involvement from parents and the community to create a supportive educational environment.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has been tasked with implementing this strategy, which has been shaped through extensive consultations with over 700 stakeholders, including educators, parents, and university leaders across 290 institutions. This collaborative approach ensures that the new education system is not only innovative but also adaptable, fostering a culture of continuous growth for both teachers and learners.
With a commitment to providing diverse educational pathways, including internationally accredited vocational training, the Education Strategy 2033 aims to develop human capital in alignment with national priorities, paving the way for a brighter future for Dubai’s youth.
