The summit, running from October 30 to November 1, has attracted representatives from over 36 cities worldwide to explore the theme, “Tomorrow’s Culture: How Will the Next Generation Shape Our World?”
Sheikha Latifa emphasized the report's alignment with Dubai’s commitment to knowledge-driven social progress and sustainable development.
“This report underscores the vital role of education in advancing cultural and creative industries. It highlights the direct link between investing in education and nurturing a sustainable creative economy,”
she stated, advocating for a dynamic ecosystem that empowers youth and strengthens the global cultural landscape.
Focusing on early childhood education, the report advocates a holistic approach to nurturing creativity, emphasizing collaboration among educational institutions, cultural organizations, and government. It also stresses the importance of empowering women within the creative economy for a more inclusive future.
The launch included a session led by Ebrahim Vahed, with panelists from Dubai Culture and various educational institutions discussing education's impact on the creative economy. The report reveals that cultural and creative industries generated $2.3 trillion in revenue in 2022, contributing 6.1% to the global economy and projecting a 40% growth by 2030.
With strategic recommendations for integrating essential skills into curricula and enhancing policies for creative education, the report serves as a vital resource for stakeholders aiming to strengthen the creative economy through educational investment.
