The 1 Billion Followers Summit, recognized as the world’s premier event for content creators, has opened applications for its groundbreaking “One Billion Award,” a million-dollar prize recognizing exceptional contributions to content creation that drive positive change.
Organizers aim to spotlight impactful and innovative content that shapes society and promotes meaningful narratives.
Applications for the inaugural award can be submitted via the 1 Billion Followers Summit’s official website, www.1billionsummit.com, until 30th November 2024. The winner will be announced at the Summit’s grand finale on 13th January 2025.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, emphasized that the award aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to position the UAE as a global hub for content creation. Al Gergawi stated,
“This award symbolizes our commitment to fostering a culture of compassion, unity, and purposeful dialogue through content.”
The award criteria call for submissions that demonstrate creativity, social value, and originality, spanning scientific, cultural, and humanitarian themes. Projects will be evaluated from 1st to 15th December by a panel of judges, with public voting open from 16th to 31st December. The public’s choice will be factored into the final selection during the summit in January.
Following a record-setting 2024 event, which attracted 7,000 participants and over 300 million social media engagements, the 2025 Summit introduces three dedicated tracks – technology, economy, and content – aiming to foster innovation and community within the global content creation industry.
