Dubai Hosts 3.67 Million Overnight Visitors in January-February 2024
In January and February 2024, Dubai welcomed 3.67 million visitors who stayed overnight, showing an increase of more than 18 percent compared to the previous year. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism shared these figures.
During these two months, Dubai had 1.77 million international visitors in January and 1.9 million in February.
In terms of where visitors came from, Europe had the highest number with 773,000 tourists, followed by South Asia with 604,000 visitors, and Gulf Cooperation Council countries with 549,000.
Tourists from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eastern Europe reached 530,000, while those from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region were 448,000. Additionally, Dubai saw 340,000 visitors from North and Southeast Asia, 240,000 from the Americas, 138,000 from Africa, and 53,000 from Australia.
The number of hotel rooms increased from 148,450 in January-February 2023 to 151,269 in the same period in 2024, across 826 establishments. The average occupancy rate was 87 percent, up by 3 percent compared to the previous year.
During January and February 2024, there were 7.78 million occupied room nights, with visitors staying an average of 3.8 nights.
