Dubai Women Establishment Unveils Agenda for Global Women’s Forum 2024 in Dubai
Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council and Dubai Women Establishment, expressed profound gratitude to the UAE's leadership for its unwavering support in advancing women’s roles in society.
As the Global Women’s Forum (GWFD) convenes for its third edition in Dubai, Sheikha Manal highlighted the UAE’s global leadership in gender balance, ranked 1st regionally and 7th globally in the 2024 Gender Equality Index by UNDP.
Scheduled for November 26-27 at Madinat Jumeirah, the Forum will focus on three key thematic pillars: Future Economies, Future Societies, Collective Engagements, Collective Actions, and Impactful Technologies, Impactful Innovations. The event aims to foster international collaboration in empowering women, emphasizing their vital role in economic development and technological progress.
Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Chairperson of Dubai Women Establishment, detailed the agenda and global partnerships for the Forum, which includes the World Bank, OECD, UNDP, and World Economic Forum. Local partners include Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and Emirates Airlines.
The two-day Forum will host over 250 influential speakers, including Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed and Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, the First Lady of Türkiye. These discussions will highlight the UAE’s commitment to fostering gender equality, showcasing successful initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s opportunities in leadership and entrepreneurship.
With over 130 sessions and representatives from 65 countries, the Forum promises to be a pivotal platform for knowledge exchange and the promotion of gender balance on a global scale.
