Dubai has opened the Dubai World Self-Driving Transport Exhibition, reinforcing its ambition to position itself as a global hub for autonomous mobility and future-driven technologies.
Organised by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the exhibition brings together 55 international companies presenting innovations in self-driving vehicles, robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainable transport. Among the highlights are TENSOR’s regional debut of self-driving vehicles and XPENG’s autonomous aircraft.
The event is part of the Dubai World Congress and Challenge for Self-Driving Transport, drawing more than 3,000 participants and over 80 speakers, including policymakers, researchers, and technology leaders.
Visitors were also briefed on Dubai’s upcoming self-driving taxi service, now in pilot operations with 60 vehicles across Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim. The service is scheduled to launch commercially without drivers in 2026.
As part of its Self-Driving Transport Strategy 2025–2040, Dubai aims to increase the share of autonomous trips to 25% by 2030 and 36% by 2040.
