Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Informa Group have unveiled a game-changing partnership to create a global leader in Exhibitions and Event Management.
The joint venture, named Informa International, is set to redefine the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa, with full operations launching by Q4 2025.
Headquartered in Dubai, the new entity will oversee a portfolio of over 40 iconic event brands, spanning key sectors such as Food (Gulfood), ICT (GITEX), Healthcare (WHX), and Aviation (Dubai Airshow). This strategic alliance aligns with DWTC’s goal to triple Dubai’s MICE sector GDP contribution to AED 54 billion by 2033, as part of the D33 Dubai Economic Agenda.
Informa International will not only consolidate both companies' event operations but also expand their reach to high-growth markets across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Indian Subcontinent. The partnership, expected to generate revenues of over $700 million, promises double-digit growth by exporting homegrown event brands worldwide.
His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of DWTC, emphasized the significance of this venture in cementing Dubai as the world’s premier MICE destination.
“This partnership is poised to transform cross-border trade and enterprise, leveraging the combined strength of DWTC and Informa’s global presence.”
Stephen A. Carter, Group Chief Executive of Informa, also expressed excitement, highlighting the growth potential in the UAE’s fast-evolving MICE market.
Informa International promises to set new standards for the B2B events industry, solidifying Dubai’s position as a global business hub.
