The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emaar Hospitality Group to strengthen Dubai's position as a global leader in the hospitality industry.

The agreement, signed by Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), and Mark Kirby, Head of Emaar Hospitality Group, focuses on enhancing marketing efforts, developing new tourism experiences, and providing staff training.

Key areas of collaboration include implementing innovative marketing strategies to promote Dubai as a must-visit destination and creating tourism products that integrate the city’s cultural and modern attractions. The partnership also emphasizes training programs to upskill Emaar’s hospitality staff, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry trends.

Kazim emphasized that the MoU solidifies Dubai’s reputation as a top global tourist destination, while Kirby highlighted the partnership's potential to set new standards for luxury hospitality.

With Dubai’s tourism sector seeing an 8% increase in international visitors in 2024 and a hotel occupancy rate of 77.1%, this collaboration aims to further drive growth and excellence in the city’s hospitality landscape.
