Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2 has officially marked the groundbreaking of the Asan-UAE Gastroenterology Hospital, the emirate’s first integrated facility dedicated to gastroenterology.
This landmark project represents the first international venture of South Korea’s largest hospital, Asan Medical Centre (AMC), in collaboration with UAE-based Scope Investment.
The ceremony, attended by key dignitaries including Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi from the Dubai Health Authority and Moon Byung Jun, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, underscores Dubai's commitment to advancing its healthcare landscape. Scheduled for completion by 2026, the hospital will enhance the UAE's capacity in critical areas such as digestive health and liver transplantation.
Spanning 21,150 square meters, the facility will feature 65 beds, four operating theatres, and specialized services, including endoscopy and gastrointestinal oncology. AMC aims to elevate local healthcare standards by serving as an educational hub, integrating expertise from South Korea.
Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi emphasized Dubai’s growing reputation as a healthcare destination, driven by a dynamic investment climate and increasing demand for high-quality services.
Issam Galadari, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, highlighted the project’s significance in attracting renowned institutions and fostering a robust healthcare ecosystem.
With a focus on safety, efficiency, and advanced technology, the Asan-UAE Gastroenterology Hospital aims to transform patient care in the region, supporting both local communities and the broader GCC.
