The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates NBD, aiming to enhance integration between banking services and residency affairs through digital transformation.

Signed by Major General Obaid Mehayer bin Suroor and Marwan Hadi, Group Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, the agreement marks a key step in strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The partnership focuses on digitising processes, simplifying the customer journey, and boosting operational efficiency. Both entities emphasised that the initiative is designed to improve service delivery, build public trust, and support Dubai’s ongoing innovation efforts.

“This agreement allows us to develop smarter service models that reinforce Dubai’s position as a global leader in government innovation and integration,”

said Bin Suroor.

Hadi highlighted the bank’s role in the digital push, noting,

“We are proud of this partnership, which supports Dubai’s transformation and offers customers seamless access to both financial and government services.”

The MoU aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of fostering transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric services by leveraging technology and cross-sector collaboration.
