Dubai’s skyline shines even brighter this Ramadan as four iconic mosques come alive with breathtaking light projections, offering residents and visitors an immersive visual experience.

The initiative, part of the ‘Anwaar Dubai’ project by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, is a key highlight of this year’s #RamadanInDubai campaign.

Under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the campaign merges tradition with cutting-edge technology. The light projections adorn the facades, domes, and minarets of Jumeirah Grand Mosque, Al Khawaneej Mosque (Al Habbai), Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Mosque (Al Hudaiba), and Zabeel Grand Mosque, showcasing intricate designs inspired by Islamic and Emirati heritage.

Using state-of-the-art illumination techniques, the ‘Anwaar Dubai’ project transforms these mosques into dynamic art pieces, harmonizing with their architectural elegance while enhancing the city's Ramadan spirit. The initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to cultural expression through innovation.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, emphasized that the project embodies Dubai’s vision of integrating art, technology, and cultural heritage to enrich the community’s urban experience. Mahra Al Youha, from the #RamadanInDubai campaign’s organizing committee, highlighted how the fusion of light artistry and tradition reinforces Dubai’s Islamic identity in a modern form.

Now in its second year, Ramadan in Dubai continues to celebrate the Holy Month with grandeur, blending Emirati values with contemporary creativity to captivate and inspire.
