Dubai’s luxury transport sector recorded a 44% increase in trips in 2024, reaching 43.4 million, up from 30.2 million in 2023. This marks the highest growth in recent years for the luxury transport and e-hail services industry.
Dubai’s Vision for Enhanced Mobility
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) attributes this surge to Dubai’s strategic vision of expanding mobility solutions and catering to the growing transportation needs of residents and visitors.
Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, highlighted that the number of passengers transported through luxury transport services rose 44% to 75.5 million in 2024, up from 52.5 million in 2023.
“These figures reflect the economic momentum of Dubai, reinforcing its position as a global hub for investment and tourism,”
Shakri stated.
e-Hail Services on the Rise
Dubai’s e-hail sector also experienced a 32% surge in demand, with trips increasing to 32.5 million in 2024 from 24.6 million in 2023.
- Companies operating in the sector grew from 9 in 2023 to 13 in 2024
- Fleet size expanded from 12,602 vehicles to 16,396
This growth underscores Dubai’s commitment to modernizing transport services, enhancing passenger convenience, and strengthening its position as a global leader in urban mobility.
