Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has officially launched its comprehensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy, marking a pivotal step in the emirate’s commitment to digital government transformation.

This initiative aligns with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to accelerate AI adoption across all sectors.

The new strategy, which is embedded within PCFC’s corporate framework, aims to integrate AI into every aspect of the organization’s operations. The focus is on automating services and streamlining processes to enhance customer experience with faster, smarter, and more efficient service delivery.

The announcement coincides with "Dubai AI Week," an event running from April 21-25, which brings together local and international participants to explore AI’s transformative potential.

Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of PCFC, emphasized that this AI-powered transformation is central to the Corporation’s goal of becoming a fully integrated smart government entity by the end of 2025. The strategy features 20 core pillars, including automation, intelligent data analysis, and enhanced data security.

Among the first steps, PCFC will roll out smart systems for the Dubai Maritime Authority by June 2025, with further systems integration expected by the end of the year. Additionally, the Corporation is developing “Naham,” an AI-powered smart assistant designed to provide 24/7 customer support across digital platforms.

PCFC’s AI strategy, developed and executed by internal teams, showcases the Corporation’s confidence in local talent and its commitment to positioning Dubai as a global leader in digital innovation.
