Dubai's 'Rain Street' Expands to 1km with New Marbella Resort Featuring Year-Round Snow Plaza
Dubai's renowned 'rain street', known for its year-round rainfall, will be extended to encircle the upcoming Marbella Resort, which is set to open in 2026. This new addition, located on the World Islands and accessible only by private yacht, promises to bring unique experiences, including a snow plaza and private coral reefs.
The Dh1 billion five-star Marbella Resort, inspired by the Spanish town of Marbella, will feature 1 km of rain street and house nine different types of coral reefs across 500,000 square meters. These reefs will attract over 30 species of fish, offering guests the opportunity to snorkel and dive among vibrant marine life including angelfish, anemonefish, lionfish, and green turtles. This eco-friendly approach is part of the broader coral reef master plan for The Heart of Europe.
Developed by the Kleindienst Group, the Marbella Resort Hotel, Vignette Collection by IHG Hotels and Resorts, aims to deliver an authentic Spanish cultural experience in Dubai. Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of the Kleindienst Group, emphasized the resort’s commitment to environmental sustainability through the use of solar power and zero microplastic discharge policies.
The Heart of Europe already includes attractions like the Côte d’Azur resort, divided into sections representing Monaco, Nice, Cannes, and St Tropez, and the Honeymoon Island with floating seahorse villas. The Marbella Resort will feature suites, chalets, and cabanas overlooking the sea, snow plaza, or rain street, along with beach parties, water sports, and six European-themed restaurants.
The 150-room luxury resort will also boast gardens, sunken courtyards, and groves of citrus and olive trees, reflecting the charm of Andalusia.
