Dubai is buzzing with energy this summer as a series of thrilling sports events unfold across the city, featuring aquatic and snow activities in indoor venues and shopping malls.

These events are part of the Dubai Sports Council's (DSC) “Our Sports Summer Initiative,” designed to encourage community participation in sports and promote a culture of physical activity among all demographics.

Among the highlights, DSC has organized engaging events for senior citizens at Ski Dubai in the Mall of the Emirates, collaborating with the Thukher Community Club. These initiatives not only foster exercise but also educate participants on nutrition and first aid, creating opportunities for social interaction in a fun environment.

Ski Dubai is hosting numerous snow championships, attracting residents and tourists alike. Women-specific events, including snow yoga, snow hiking, and snow badminton, are drawing significant attention. The lineup also features international skating championships for People of Determination, showcasing Dubai's commitment to inclusivity in sports.

The initiative encompasses a wide array of competitions, from basketball and tennis to esports and bodybuilding, hosted in various locations throughout the emirate. This extensive variety encourages both locals and expatriates to engage in their favorite sports while building connections across cultures.

Dubai boasts numerous facilities for sports, including running and cycling tracks, parks, and air-conditioned venues like Dubai Sports World, which spans 300,000 square feet with 46 pitches and courts. This summer, instead of idleness, the city is alive with vibrant sporting activities, transforming the season into one of dynamic engagement and community spirit.
