Ducab is accelerating its global expansion with a focus on innovation and quality, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a key player in the global shift toward clean energy.

Charles Mellagui, CEO of Ducab’s Cable Business Unit, confirmed the company’s plans during ADIPEC 2025, highlighting its leadership in specialized nuclear power cables. Ducab is among the few companies worldwide capable of developing such advanced products and is now producing a new generation of nuclear energy cables designed to last up to 120 years—twice the industry standard.

Mellagui said this milestone reflects growing international confidence in Ducab’s capabilities. The company has already supplied cables for the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in the UAE and similar projects in South Korea, further solidifying its global reputation.

To meet rising demand, Ducab is expanding production through the acquisition of the National Cables Factory in Oman, a move expected to increase annual output by 20,000 tonnes. Together with its six manufacturing facilities in the UAE, this addition strengthens Ducab’s logistical base and export network, which currently spans 75 countries.

Mellagui noted that the company’s expansion will particularly support emerging African markets, aligning with its vision to advance sustainable industrial growth and contribute to the worldwide energy transition.
